First Rotokare Life Membership Awarded

Gwen Muller has been a long serving Rotokare volunteer, since the Trust was first established nearly a decade ago.  Gwen regularly arrived at the Sunday working bees, and any other event going on, armed with a delicious hot lunch and sweet treats for all the volunteers. Gwen did all of this out of her own time and pocket, she loved being involved and the team loved having her.

Unfortunately Gwen has retired from her volunteer role, and although sad, it was exciting to award her with the first ever Rotokare Life Membership Award.

Rotokare could not be what it is today without the our communities support, and dedicated volunteer team.  No doubt in years to come there will be many more life memberships awarded.  Gwen's very important role as part of the Rotokare volunteer team, highlights the importance of a variety of volunteers with an array of things to offer.

We are always recruiting volunteers and have an exciting programme, including training opportunities, if you would like to be a part of a great team get in touch with us for more information.
