High cyano-bacteria counts see the early closure of the Lake Rotokare boat ramp

Unfortunately only a few weeks after opening the boat ramp for the season, we have been instructed by the South Taranaki District Council to close the boat ramp, due to hight levels of cyano-bacteria in the water.  The water quality is regularly tested by the Taranaki Regional Council, so if the levels drop it may be opened again later in the season.

To get up to date information about the water quality either visit the Taranaki Regional Council website or follow Rotokare on facebook.
